Doug Buchanan, President, Granite Corporation, General Partner Granite Partners II L.P.
The Managing Partner of Granite Partners II L.P. (Granite II) Doug Buchanan is the former President and CEO of Granite Venture Partners Inc. (Granite II’s predecessor). Granite Venture Partners is a private equity firm founded in 1996 that generated a triple digit compound IRR on its realized investments from inception to April 1, 2003 when the current Granite II commenced operations.
Doug is a former Director, Chairman of the Board and President of a number of publicly listed Toronto Stock Exchange Corporations, as well as a number of private corporations.
Having obtained his MBA in 1984, Doug has been involved in the principal investing, corporate finance, banking and mergers and acquisitions industries his entire professional career. He has held senior positions with Citicorp’s Leverage Capital Group and CIBC’s Corporate Finance Unit.
Throughout his career, Doug has been involved with entrepreneurs and ownermanagers, helping build and unlock shareholder value.

Charlesway Corporation Limited (Charlesway) is a private investment holding company located in St. Catharines, Ontario. The company is family owned and was founded by Roy Cairns, BA, LLB, QC in 1971 to acquire interests in, and to help build operating businesses. A practising lawyer until 2003, Mr. Cairns was a founding partner of the law firm Chown Cairns, one of the largest law firms in St. Catharines, who found time to build and manage Charlesway while practising law full-time.
Charlesway is actively invested in more than 20 operating businesses. The businesses are varied and include financial services, real estate development, food services, warehousing, forestry, entertainment, petroleum, education, manufacturing, mining, etc. The businesses are located in both Canada and the United States.
The typical Charlesway investment is made alongside trusted partners who also provide assistance and expertise in operating and growing the businesses. Charlesway has participated in numerous business ventures with Granite management. This company's track record of success has led to the formal organization of Granite Partners.

HMF Famcorp is a private investment company controlled by Harvey Fruitman. Mr. Fruitman is a Chartered Accountant who for the past 35 years has been a Principal, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Tridel Group of Companies.
